What To Expect?
Before going on trips, it is advisable that you come prepared with your sunblock, water, hats, insect repellents etc.
Sawa-I-Lau Caves
Visit a historic Cave
According to legend, a young chief once hid with his betrothed in the cave after her family threatened to marry her off to a rival chief. Every day he would swim into this secret haven with food for the girl until they eventually both escaped to an island together, where they lived happily forever. This cave is also known as 'The illusion cave'.
The sacred Sawa-I-Lau Caves are also known as the resting place of the 10-headed ancient Fijian god, Ulutini.
The Sigatoka Sandunes
Hike Up the Sandunes
Trips to the Sandunes are preferably done in the morning before the sand starts to heat up! Tour guides are available to share a brief history about the Sandunes and there are 2 parts of this trip: Hiking up the Sandunes and beach clean up. Picking up any foreign material you see on your way back to the exit area. This prevents these materials from following back into the ocean.
HotSprings and Mud Pool
Enjoy a therapeutic dip at the Mud Pool
Cover your whole body with (head to toe) in Mud. The Hot springs and pool is located in Sabeto, Nadi and is believed to have natural healing properties.
